Sevans 1/6th Scale Kryten

Before the release of the D-Form range, Sevans released the 1/6th scale Kryten model, coinciding with the broadcast of series VI in October 1993. Sevans was very much the Ikea of figurine manufacturers, and specialised in self-assembly and self-paint merchandise. The Kryten figure requires a fair amount of assembly- slicing up plastic sprues and fixture zones, immersing the parts in hot water to make them malleable and posable, gluing various bodyparts and decoration together, assembling the abdominal unit chest monitor, adding the shoulder covers, belt and even a groinal vacuum. Then comes the painting of the grey plastic surface.
The box is also a lovely item in and of itself, particularly when found in a good condition. This box was donated to the museum in the Post Pod curtesy of Skipper.
All in all, the Kryten Sevans model is an increasingly rare item at present times, and they make very nice pieces in their natural unaltered state. And it has to be said, they also look good constructed and painted... when done professionally...
