The programme guide was a detailed and comprehensive reference index of each episode up to the point of publication, behind the scenes details, a glossary of various people, things and places within the Red Dwarf Universe, details on spin-off material and merchandise, and even artsy black and white photographs. It is essentially a wiki, before wiki's, or even the mainstream internet, was a thing. The first edition was published in 1993, and dealt with material up to series V. This was revised in 1995, and updated with new material from series VI. The third edition, confusingly named the second revised edition, was released in 1997, to additionally cover series VII of the show. Finally, the third revised edition was released to include series VIII in the year 2000. As of 01.2022, this was the last official programme guide to be written in this series, but who knows, maybe the "fourth revised edition aka the fifth edition aka the first ultimate edition" is just around the corner?
