As previously noted, the ill-fated 2006 Holo-virus Rimmer & Mr Flibble bobblehead was never more than a single prototype, so in 2021 The Curator of this museum took it upon himself to create a custom made version, to debatable success. But the story isn't over there...

For in 2024, following an incredibly unlikely series of accidental internet-based coincidences, two total smeg heads who are waaaaaaaaay too into a certain late 80's cult sci-fi sitcom and all the associated merchandise & memorabilia that has been flooding out during each of the last five decades, ended up working together to produce a series of NEW AND IMPROVED custom made bobbleheads! That first smeg head is, of course, your favourite and most beloved Curator, yours truly. And the second smeg head is a man who I will refer to only as Skipper (🫡)... but it was he who decided that we could do better than the original 2021 custom made model. He said, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. And boy did Skipper succeed in his endeavour! Even while he created THE LARGEST RED DWARF COLLECTION IN THE WORLD, and the most beautiful, gobsmackingly impressive, and unbelievably well themed loft to display it in!

So these two gimboids took a break from their respective incessant- and frankly unhealthy- Red Dwarf Collecting Crusades, and spent smegging MONTHS working together pouring over old images of the original bobbleheads, behind the scenes photos and episode stills of the characters, and the original of the T2 bobblehead designs, to produce these two highly faithful recreations of the two missing bobbleheads! The Holy Grails of the Red Dwarf Dwarfendise World! And WHY DID YOU DO THIS??  you may well ask? Well... we did it because we love Red Dwarf, we love all the merchandise, and it completely tore us up that we couldn't have these early bobblehead designs in our collections! We wanted to work together, just for the fun and the love of it, to create a bobblehead for each of us... and after many MANY iterations and prototypes … we did just that!

First up in our line of completely unofficial, totally fan-made, beautifully hand-crafted and hand-painted, 100% artificial colours and flavourings bobbleheads is... drumroll... The Holo-Virus Rimmer & Mr Flibble Prototype! And just look a him! Just LOOK at that authentic gingham patterning! Check out those lovely pink bows! Gawk at the big fluffy head of that puppet penguin!

I think it is now fair to say that we were at last approaching the T2 standard, so if it wasn't GAME OVER BOYS before... it is now! Right? Right?? Spoiler- NO.
